ICPC Swiss Subregional Contest EPFL

Start time: 08:30 AM

End time: 15:30 PM

Location: CO5/C06, EPFL

Polympiads invites you to the ICPC Swiss Subregional Contest 2024-25 on Saturday, October 26th from 8:30 AM to 15:30 PM on Codeforces !

Meeting point: CO5 and CO6, EPFL.

ICPC is the world's largest collegiate coding contest, and once again we are looking for the most talented programmers to represent EPFL! The first step is to participate in the Swiss Subregional, happening right here in Lausanne.

The competition is individual (no teams) and held according to the usual ICPC format: 5 hours, 10 to 13 problems. There will be food served for lunch and an apero after the contest.

Here's a rundown of the rules:

1. You will be able to choose between various languages, including ICPC's official languages: C, C++, and Java.

2. The contest will be held on EPFL computers. You are allowed to have a booklet of 25 pages with you where you can put whatever you want!

3. Each solved problem gives exactly one point. There are no partial points and ties will be broken using a time-based penalty.

4. You will need a Codeforces account to participate. You should create this account in advance of the contest on https://codeforces.com

The contest is open to all EPFL students. Among the best students satisfying the ICPC eligibility criteria, two teams of three students each will be selected to represent EPFL at the regional contest of southwest Europe, SWERC (that will take place in Lyon, France from November 29th to December 1st, 2024).
